Principal’s Corner

Dear Smalley Elementary School Community,

As we close another wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly special year for me as my first year as Principal of Smalley Elementary School.

From the moment I joined the Smalley community, I felt welcomed by our students, staff, and families. I have truly enjoyed meeting each of you and getting to know what makes our school such a special place. Throughout the year, I have had the privilege of witnessing the kindness, determination, and school spirit that define Smalley.

From the excitement of those first days of outdoor recess, to cheering on students during concerts and special events, to watching the very first Smalley play come to life on stage, every moment has reminded me how fortunate I am to be part of this amazing school community. In classrooms, hallways, on the playground, and at school events, I have seen students challenge themselves, support one another, and grow both academically and personally.

To our students, I am incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished this year. Your hard work, resilience, creativity, and enthusiasm have made Smalley a place where learning and friendships thrive. Whether you mastered a new skill, reached a personal goal, helped a classmate, or simply gave your best effort each day, you should be proud of what you have achieved.

I would also like to thank our dedicated staff and supportive families. Your partnership, commitment, and care make all the difference in the success of our students and our school.

As summer begins, I hope everyone takes time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the season. Get outside, spend time with family and friends, read a good book, try something new, and make wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for making my first year at Smalley such a rewarding and memorable experience. I am already looking forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another year of learning, growth, and success.
