Welcome to Smalley Elementary School!

Dear Smalley Elementary School Community,

It is with great excitement and a deep sense of honor that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Smalley Elementary School.  My name is April Morgan, and I bring over 20 years of experience in education, with a strong background in instructional leadership and school improvement. I’m looking forward to working alongside a vibrant and dedicated school community to support every child’s success.

As both an educator and the mother of three children, I understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. I bring with me a lens of empathy and compassion for students that is unwavering. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported, and that belief will guide every decision I make.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to developing teachers, building strong school cultures, and ensuring that the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student are met. I believe that every student can succeed when given the right support, and I am passionate about fostering a culture of high expectations, student voice, and personalized learning.

At Smalley, my goal is to cultivate a school environment where collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking are at the center of our work. Together with our dedicated staff, supportive families, and incredible students, we will build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and continued success.

I am excited to begin this journey with you and look forward to meeting each of you in the weeks ahead.
